The Kalahari's ancient secret for appetite and endurance. Hoodia gordonii is a rare succulent from one of Earth's harshest environments — used by the San people of the Kalahari for generations to sustain themselves on long desert hunting expeditions. Today it's one of Southern Africa's most fascinating and sought-after botanicals.

Our small-batch, alcohol-free extract honours this San botanical tradition — wild-crafted, CITES-compliant, and free from alcohol, sugar, and fillers.

Botanical Heritage

Traditional Origins: Hoodia gordonii is native to the Kalahari desert. The San people (Bushmen), among the oldest indigenous cultures in the world, used Hoodia as part of their cultural practices during long hunting expeditions and desert travel. Hoodia's traditional knowledge eventually became the subject of a landmark intellectual property and benefit-sharing agreement — one of the first of its kind in South Africa.

Botanical Profile: A leafless, spiny succulent in the Apocynaceae family, growing in arid and semi-arid environments across Namibia, Botswana, and the Northern Cape. Listed on Appendix II of CITES.
